What a HouseReport is

A HouseReport brings together public information about an Auckland property from Auckland Council, Land Information New Zealand, the Ministry of Education, Stats NZ and other public sources. It is a screening tool to help you decide which properties deserve closer investigation.

What it is not

Always read the LIM, get a building inspection, and take advice from a lawyer and other professionals before you buy.

Accuracy

We report the data as published by its source on the date shown in the report. Hazard and planning maps are indicative, can be out of date, and can be imprecise at property boundaries. Property boundaries shown on maps are approximate. School zones are indicative; the school’s written zone description applies. We take care to read and present the data correctly, but we cannot guarantee that the source data is complete or accurate.

Buying a report

A full report costs $29 NZD, paid by card through Stripe. We email the PDF to the address you give at checkout within 24 hours. If you are not happy with your report, email hello@housereport.co.nz within 14 days for a full refund. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with a report is limited to the price you paid for it.

Using the report

Your report is for your own use in deciding whether to buy the property. You may share it with your family, lawyer, mortgage adviser, lender or insurer.
